Rifts of Rhivaris is a comparative tactical board game that combines elements from multiple genres into a completely new and fresh experience.
Within its core it's an engine/deck-building game. Players start out with basic equipment and a starting deck of power-crystal cards. Every turn players draw a set amount of power-crystals from their deck which they can use to activate the abilities on their equipment. Throughout the game, players will be able to buy new equipment to unlock powerful new abilities and improve their power-crystal deck’s potency and/or reliability. These abilities can be used on the tactical layer of the game where they maneuver their characters, slay monsters or attack other players to gain the needed riches or fame to win the game.
